Why is Worldwide Brands So Expensive?

As one of the most well know directories of suppliers on the Internet, Worldwide Brands is long established and highly regarded.  But membership comes at a very high price – $299 before you get any products or contacts out of it at all.  It's therefore reasonable to ask if membership to Worldwide Brands really is worth nearly $300, especially when you can get access to cheap suppliers on Alibaba.com for free.

Worldwide Brands is a directory of over 9,000 wholesalers, drop shippers and liquidators from around the world – but with a focus on suppliers from the USA and China.  From these 9,000 suppliers, Worldwide Brands has around 16 million products that are avalable to buy – some exclusively through the WWB site – at trade prices.  All suppliers are certified and guaranteed to be legitimate.  Lifetime membership, which is the only option as there are no payment plans available, costs $299.

There are, however, some very good alternatives.  Alibaba.com and Ali Express are both free to buy from, and offer products at low prices too.  The key difference is that the suppliers in Worldwide Brands are all certified, whereas alternatives do not offer this.  Although there are sites that have more products at trade prices, they do not offer a guarantee that these are all reliable.  This is why Worldwide Brands members pay the high fee for access – but if you have only a small budget and enough time to do your own research, you can get access to cheap and reliable suppliers for much less than the price of WWB membership.
